Shakespeare Workshop - One Week Program (3rd - 8th Grade)

This half-day program is an introduction into the world of performing Shakespeare, designed to accommodate creative young actors. For three hours a day, students will be introduced to Shakespeare's fantastical plays through acting exercises, scene study, and rehearsal.

They will be introduced to the formal language of the Shakespearean dialect, cast in leading roles, and directed to perform an abridged version of a Shakespeare play.

The week will culminate in an abridged final performance of Much Ado About Nothing.

Dates: August 24th - August 28th (Final Performance on 8/28)
Grades: 3rd - 8th grade (going into the 2020-2021 school year)
Times: 9am-12pm
Price: $200

This is a program for studious young actors who are equally as interested in studying theatrical text as they are in performing. Since Shakespeare is very challenging, students will be asked to take on a lot of personal responsibility during the program week. Please be certain that your student is the right fit for this program before enrolling.
